Green Chili Chicken, the week-end recipe idea!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken – ½ kg (cut into medium size pieces)
  • Green chilli paste – 3 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Dhania powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tbsp
  • Jeera methi powder – 1 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 big size
  • Dry coconut powder – 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Dhania patta – for garnishing
  • Pudina patta – for garnishing
  • Curry patta – for garnishing
Method:

  • Mix chicken with chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, dhania powder and garam masala and allow marinating for an hour.
  • Take oil in kadai and fry onion till golden colour.
  • Add marinated chicken, mix well and cook it by covering with a lid.
  • After 10-15 minutes, remove the lid and add jeera, methi powder and dry coconut powder.
  • Mix well, later add chopped dhania patta, pudina patta and curry patta and simmer for some time.
  • At last add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Serve with either rice or roti.
