A plastic smile

By Manjari Ray

Part of a make-up kit-A plastic smile
Mobile is glued to the ears,
Daughters on the ramp,
Mothers attend kitty parties in different style,
My eyes tell on a boy as I was walking down
the lane a while,
Tired and weary,
wearing rugged clothes he must walked a mile,
His heart still full of undaunted confidence
and clasped in his right hand was a light blue file
He has seen and experienced struggle in his life
Gone are not till now poverty and the days of strife..
But he is different from those who are provided
love,care,affection,luxury and comfort
He will know the value of hardwork
and pain cause he has been often deprived and hurt..
He has seen and experienced struggle in his life
Gone are not till now the days of strife
But he is different from those who are provided
love,care,affection,luxury and comfort.
He will know the value of hardwork
and pain cause he has often been deprived and hurt..
His heart still full of undaunted confidence
and clasped in his right hand was a light blue file
Lest is the innocent smile,
Mobile is glued to the ears
Teenagers on the ramp,
Mothers rock in style,
I pondered over for a while..
I saw a boy with rugged clothes,barefoot
walking nearly a mile..
