Lazy Bodies

 By Esther Daimari

The alarm resonates deeply
And I listen to its echoes dignifying,
The sunlight shimmers here and there…
Yet I make my bed nest for dreaming,
a shelter for imagining!
I cling to my fluorescent quilt and my pillow fluffy,
To waste another day is not anymore
a bother.

I am all filled in electric blue suddenly,
Flared up in thinking,
Would I want to be human any longer?
Shower is difficult, impossible is cooking…
The new cool is procrastinating!
Working on time is a monotonous ideology,
Knowledge by vision rather
is what I would consider.
