The Stone Deity at Delphi

Atop the high mountain
Atop the city of the ancient deities
The tourists frolic and jostle
Where each piece of stone
Has a story to unfold
The tale of the past unearthed
Here the ancient deities
Stand now as pieces of dead stone
Ask the stone deity
What lies in your fortune
Ask what she has to foretell
The oracle of you present and future.
Stand beside Apollo
He will kill Pythia and
Bless you with promises divine

Tell a tale
Tell a tale
Oh stone deity
Tell a tale
Of the past.

The tourists frolic and jostle
Here,where each piece of stone
Has a story to unfold
Here as I stand
The ancient deities tell
The stories of their past
As the stone statues of
KASAMARI
And Dimapur
Tell the glories of your past.

Here the ancient deities
Stand now as pieces of dead stone
Here in your land
The ancient deities
Get re incarnated in the temples.
Tell a tale
Tell a tale
Oh stone deity.
