Walking alone

By Anindita Saha

Walking alone
in a wood,
with passing time
its changing my mood.

I am screaming.
Does anyone listening?
I don’t  know
Where the road will go.

Walking alone
In the wood
I will do
Whatever I could.

Oh! There’s something
In my pocket.
Nothing just a locket
and a little penny.
Isn’t it funny?

Why am I here?
Is anyone near?
Please someone come
And take me home.

Suddenly, hundreds of lights
Appear before me.
With fear I sit
on my knee.

Oh! God, this is you.
please take me too.
Again I search my pocket,
there’s no penny and the locket.

Walking alone
in the wood,
I ended my life
With changing mood.
