Edge

I get up once more to fight
For a sunny day
Glowing with delight,
No inner demons to wrestle within
Tiniest fractions of a second.

It all seemed so hazy and distant
Last night
The line of least resistance,
In the mosaic of reflections
That felt like it was so far away.

The roads we have walked together
During new moon,
A little slice of heaven dropped in,
With all its colour and beauty,
Went into wrap overdrive.

Morning clouds so notoriously elusive
Like muskies, difficult to catch,
It still begs the question of
Why any little edge
Makes so much difference.
