I Owe You A Dream

A dream, an illusion or hallucination
What I owe to you
Digging deep into my mind
Taking painstaking breath
Shouting crazily at my shadow
What I owe to you
A dream, a rainbow or a collage

It was never meant to be such
A shattered dream, a colourless rainbow
And an imageless collage
That’s what I can owe to you
I owe you a dream
But not my soul.
