MOHAMOHIM - THE GREAT MAHIM

By Dr. Prufulla C. Deka

Sensible touch of lush green tea gardens
Madding smell of fresh leaves
After first monsoon shower
In the vicinity of Usha Nagari
Deep in your soul

Standing on the soil
Where Sankardeva had been once
You walked along the bank
And the river Kolong danced
The river station of Kathonibaree woke up
Your calm fingers moved steadily and wrote-up
A novel of life

With which river you are now
Where flowers bloom at night
The fragrance perfumes the air and the sky

You sketch the portrait of life
In magnetic compassionate words
Edhaneemahee smiles sparkling bright
In your mesmerizing rhythmic code

Can you give up the love of lost horizon
And go away from the river that glee?
An impossible it would be
You will always find around
Puja Pipoli and me...
