WINTER VIEW

By Dennis Law

I sit by my window on a cold December night,
Watching the snow as it falls from sight,
A North wind brings a chill our way,
Freezing the night till the dawn of day,
The snowman we built in our front yard,

Now stands watch like a soldier on guard.
