ANTHROPOMETRIC ASSESSMENT OF PHYSICAL GROWTH AMONG THE GALLONG BOYS OF WEST SIANG DISTRICT IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Abstract

The paper reports the observations on physical growth based on some anthropometric characters among the Gallong boys of West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. A cross-sectional study of growth was carried out on 683 school-going Gallong boys aged 5 to 14 years. In all the age groups the Gallong boys are seen to have acquired gradual increase in growth with the advancement of age. Growth spurt is usually found in the age group of 14 years.
