NICOTINE

By Dhurum Sula Boro

He looks not handsome
Allure you yet he can
So enchanting is his
Posture and gesture

He colonizes you
From womb to pit
As your forefather and father
Didn’t give you shit

And he (laughing) where to escape honey
I’m in your gene

He can make you dance
Killing your sense
He can make
Heaven and hell meet

Let us be selfish
Let us take a vow
To cease nicotine now
