GROWTH RATE ANALYSIS OF MAIZE PRODUCTION IN INDIA FOR 1992-2012

Abstract
The study makes an attempt to investigate on growth rate of Maize production in India for twenty years from the period 1992-93 to 2011-12. By using exponential function, semi-log linear model, semi-log quadratic model, the study reveals that annual compound growth rate (CAGR) of production over the period is 4.13 percent and no acceleration or deceleration has been found in the growth rate of Maize production during this period. Among twenty years, only one structural break was observed during 2010-11.
